An attractive antique sterling silver samovar with excellent quality chased and engraved decoration of flowers, leaves and scrolls. The matching stand, attached to the kettle by two chains with sliding keys, is beautifully pierced and stands on large shell feet. The detachable burner has a folding wick cover and the centre pulls out to fill with fluid. Contains 2200 ml. Total weight 2053 grams, 66 troy ounces. Total height 37 cms. Kettle height 28 cms, spread 26 cms. All pieces Sheffield 1873. Maker Martin Hall.
