Samuel Margas

Samuel Margas, apprenticed to his brother Jacob Margas of the Butchers’ Company 1708, free 1714. Mark entered as largeworker 1715. Second (sterling) mark 1721. Known mainly for his candlesticks. His most important surviving work is the wine cistern on 1714 for the Marquess of Crewe.
