An unusual small size antique silver tankard, sometimes known as a lady's tankard, having a domed hinged lid and plain straight sided design with coopered bands. Attractive strapwork to the top of the handle. To the front there is a decorative, hand engraved cartouche containing entwined initials in old fashioned script. Contains 750 ml. Weight 570 grams, 18.3 troy ounces. Spread 18 cms. Height 17.5 cms. Diameter 11.3 cms (base). Sheffield 1803. Maker Thomas Lamborn.
