A substantial sterling silver bowl with an unusual shaped top having a cast decorative border and cast silver side handles with man face masks. Exceptional weight. The top section is flat chased in the Hugeunot 1740s style. To the front there is an engraved armorial within a shield and to the other side there is a presentation inscription, horse racing related*. Weight 1755 grams, 56.4 troy ounces. Height 19.3 cms. Diameter of top 28.5 cms. Birmingham 1944. Maker Adie Brothers.

Signed/Inscribed: *Inscription reads "Singapore Turf Club, The summer Cup 1957, Won by Shamrock Slipper 84, 6 furlongs class 1 Div 1, Jockey J Donnelly, Trainer RN Hobbs".
