An antique sterling silver campaign folding cup in a fitted leather case. This ingenious flat fold beaker is made in 3 shaped pieces which concertina up into a watertight cup*. Finely engraved with arched panels containing beautiful bouquets of flowers and to the front there is a decorative intertwined monogram. Gilded interior. Contains 200 ml (first joint - 75 ml). Weight 162 grams, 5.2 troy ounces. Height 3.5 cms (flat), 9 cms (total). Diameter 6.5 cms (top), 5.5 cms (bottom). All pieces marked. London 1926. Maker Edward Barnard & Sons.

Literature: There is another campaign beakers available, #7034 with almost identical engraving. However it has a different size, date and maker. Possibly these beakers have come from a large set which has been added to over a large period of time.
