A fine quality antique inkstand with a centre cherub holding a taper stick. Silver plated. The 2 baskets open to reveal the original cranberry ink bottles with sterling silver mounts. The hat lifts and inside there is a little box to hold nibs. There is a pen rest to the front. Length 24cms, width 13cms, height 29cms. The bottles have silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1852, maker Henry Manton.
