A handsome antique sterling silver jug with plain body and shell and gadroon border. A copy of the Georgian style. The bamboo style wooden handle mounted with a silver serpent to the top and a snake's head and motif to the bottom are characteristic of the work of the Georgian master silversmith Paul Storr. Weight 940 grams, 30.2 troy ounces. Contains 900 ml. Height 20 cms, 24.5 cms to top of handle. Spread 22 cms. London 1913. Maker Garrards.
