6753. Victorian Silver Tea Set by Hunt & Roskell
A beautiful antique sterling silver tea set with deep embossed decoration of flowers, leaves and scrolls. The quality of this set is excellent and the lids of the teapot and coffee jug have a pretty flower finial. There is a vacant cartouche to each piece and the sugar bowl and cream jug have the original gilt interior. Weight 2626 grams, 84.4 troy ounces. Teapot contains 900 ml. Coffee pot contains 1500 ml. London 1843 (jug), 1849 (bowl, coffee pot), 1852 (teapot). Maker John Hunt of Hunt & Roskell (Late Storr, Mortimer & Hunt – the famous Paul Storr’s partnership).

A very smart vintage sterling silver tea set with plain style and the geometric styling typical of the art deco period. Excellent quality and good gauge silver. Weight 1636 grams, 52.6 troy ounces. An exceptional quality antique sterling silver tea set with bamboo style handles and deeply chased flower, scroll and leaf decoration. Louis style with face masks to the spout and all four feet. Original gilt interior to the sugar bowl and milk jug. This is an extremely pretty set, the decoration is very fine quality and the weight is exceptional. Weight 2865 grams, 92 troy ounces. Height of teapot 17 cms, spread 27 cms, contains 1300 ml. Coffee pot contains 1700 ml. London 1854/55. Maker John Wellby.
