5738. Large Victorian Wood and Ivory Dinner Gong

This makes and excellent show with a double set of tusks supporting the silver plated gong. All mounted on a heavy ebonised wooden base. Total height 41 cms. Base 54 cms x 28 cms. Circa 1900.

5645. Large Antique Wine Cistern in Old Sheffield Plate

An impressive size. A decorative antique French wine cooler having side handles mounted with female figure heads and a pedestal base standing on 4 dolphin feet. Original tin lining. Will easily take 8 bottles. Height 37.5 cms (40 cms to top of side handles). Length 51 cms. Width 38.5 cms. Spread 59 cms. French. Circa 1860. Replated.

A tall and impressive show. A massive pair of Victorian style sterling silver vases with pierced decoration and ruby glass liners. Weight 3445 grams, 110.7 troy ounces. Height 62 cms. Diameter of top 26 cms. Marked sterling around the bases. Late 20th century. These are large enough to be floor standing.

4198. Victorian Silver Presentation Shovel

Superb quality antique silver commemorative shovel with carved mahogany handle. Very interesting railway inscription. Length 88 cms. Width 19 cms. London 1884. Maker FS over JH. The handle with silver mount, part marked, probably Birmingham 1888.

A large and imposing pair of oval silver plaques decorated with groups of playful putti. Length 52 cms. Weight 42.5 troy ounces. Numerous marks around the outer perimeter. Probably Hanau. Circa 1900.

5483. Magnificent Antique Neoclassical Campana Urn

This is a stunning decorative item. A large 19th century heavy bronze pedestal cistern - a copy of an ancient Greek vase and similar to the famous Warwick vase. The body is decorated with faces in high relief and supported by 2 massive and ornamental wrythen handles. Its size makes it ideal for many uses - cooler, jardiniere, vase, table centrepiece etc. Circa 1860. Silver plated with gilt interior.

A beautiful pair of classical style antique wall lights, each with 2 overhanging lamps holders. The rectangular back plates are mounted with goats head masks and harebell chains. Height 35 cms. Width 8 cms. Spread across arms 25 cms. Circa 1890. Silver on brass. Original finish with some wear. Sold as decorative items only.

5649. Pair of Victorian Silver Cherub Lamps

An exceptional quality pair of antique sterling silver lights with finely modelled cherub supports. Very good weight and chunky feel. Total weight 1244 grams, 40 troy ounces (includes metal light fitting and wiring). Height 23 cms. These cherubs would have originally been part of a larger object, probably a candelabra.  Part marked on base and drip pans for London? 1898.

This versatile serving trolley can be used folded together or with the 2 lower sections extended to provide an unusually broad serving area. Height 79 cms. Length 82 cms (143 cms extended). 4011. 1950’s Beef Carving Trolley with Swivel Top.

A stylish oval wooden serving trolley on wheels with silver plated accessories to include a cutlery tray and detachable plate rack. The silver plated dome swivels to reveal a stainless steel tree and well carving plateau. Also supplied are 2 removable vegetable serving pots and carving block (not shown). The carving jacket lifts out to access 3 warming burners below. Circa 1950.

5770. Antique Silver and Glass Inkwell with Watch

A very smart plain styled antique silver and glass desk piece with a silver cased pocket watch inset within the lid. The top has an articulated hinge so that, when open, the watch can be positioned either at the front or back of the fitting (it can also sit in the centre). The top bezel unscrews to remove the watch. The base is made of heavy glass with faceted corners. Height 14 cms (when open), 6.5 cms (when closed). Base 9 x 9 cms. Inkwell Birmingham 1902, maker John Grinsell & Sons. Watch Chester 1903, maker The Lancashire Watch Co Ltd (Thomas Peter Hewitt).

A pretty little tortoiseshell travelling clock with silver fittings and a French movement. This clock has a very neat size and is unusual with its restrained style and chunky tortoiseshell body. Silver hallmarked London 1913.
