7028. George II Silver Tea Kettle
A handsome antique sterling silver samovar with a shaped folding handle. There is deep all over chased decoration of flowers, foliage and scrolls. To one side there is an engraved crest and to the other a blank cartouche. The attractive pierced silver stand has an integral burner well with push on top. Weight 1516 grams, 48.7 troy ounces. Height 36.5 cms. London 1757. Maker William Grundy.
Condition. This impressive antique silver kettle is in very good condition with no damage. It has been tested and does not leak. The silver marks under the kettle and burner are matching and are clear and easy to read. The little cover to the burner is unmarked. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
