A tall and imposing antique sterling silver serving jug with plain style and figural pineapple finial. Rich gilt interior. Engraved to the front with arms of Langley of Langley, Co Durham and Sherriff Hutton, near York. Weight 1550 grams, 50 troy ounces. Height 32 cms. London 1789. Maker Thomas Watson and James Young.
