5815. Queen Anne Silver Mug

An excellent antique Britannia standard silver drinking tankard with banding and the typical ribbed decoration of the period. Gilt interior. The handle has prettily engraved leaf detail and has the trace of a mark. Engraved to the front is a later crest and monogram. Weight 369 grams, 11.8 troy ounces. Height 11 cms. Diameter of top 8 cms. Contains 1 pint. London 1710. Maker John Laughton II.
