5802. Antique French Cast Silver Candlesticks

A fine lot. A pair of Louis XV silver candlesticks in the elegant simple style typical of that period. Each bears a crisp armorial to the front. Heavy cast weight – 964 grams, 31 troy ounces. Height 23 cms. Diameter of base 13 cms. Stamped below with French silver marks for Paris 1738-44. Discharge mark on the base edge. Also marked inside the tops. Maker J Bellanger.
