5799. Antique German Silver Table Snuff Box with Painted Plaque

A beautiful antique silver box with an inset painted panel of a young couple in a field with a lamb. The box has excellent quality engraving all over and armorial crests to the four corners of the lid. The inside is gilded and inside the lid there is a fabulous engraved armorial. Weight 170 grams, 5.4 troy ounces. Length 9.5 cms. Width 6.75 cms. Height 1.5 cms. German silver stamps, crescent moon and crown. Makers mark LW.
