5703. Georgian Silver Coconut Cup

A rare antique sterling silver armorial coconut cup on pedestal foot. This magnificent cup is unusually large and would undoubtably have been specially commissioned for an important person. The excellent carving includes a panel with a coat of arms surmounted by the head and shoulders of a native figure. Height 22.5 cms. Diameter at top 9.5 cms. London 1787. Makers initials T.H probably Thomas Hodge.
