5677. George II Silver Lidded Tankard

A substantial antique sterling silver tankard of good size and weight. Very attractive baluster style with strapwork decoration and unusual finishing detail to the base of the handle. Weight 863 grams, 27.7 troy ounces. Height 19 cms. Lid and body marked London 1740. Handle makers mark only. Maker Francis Spilsbury.
