3893. Charles II Silver Lidded Tankard.

A rare early sterling silver flat lidded tankard from the 1600’s fully marked to top, handle and base. This lovely piece of hand beaten silver has a good original patina. Weight 18 troy ounces. Height 13 cms/16 cms to top of thumb piece. Diameter of base 12.5 cms. London 1674. Maker IG over a mullet in a heart shaped shield. Mark entered in 1657 (see Jacksons page 123.
