3197. Antique Silver Wager Cup.
This highly collectible silver double drinking vessel is also known as a marriage cup. The idea being to drink the contents of the large cup (in the form of the lady’s skirt) without spilling the drink inside the small cup. This particularly attractive example dates from the turn of the 1900’s and was made by Berthold Muller. Antique German silver with import mark Chester 1906.
