A magnificent antique sterling silver covered cup with double curved side handles and matching lid surmounted by a figure of a horse. Perfect for use as a wine cooler this large cup is profusely decorated with grapes and vine leaves, the lower body being chased with flowers and leaves, and all standing on a fine quality shell decorated pedestal foot. No inscription. Height 31 cms (41 cms to top). Diameter 19.5 cms. Width across handles 29 cms. Weight 76 troy ounces. Sheffield 1863. Maker R & B.
