1165: Victorian Revolving Lid Serving Dish
This classic 19th century serving dish in silver plate has attractive decoration to the lid and stylish shaped feet. The lid revolves to reveal the basin inside complete with 2 shallow detachable liners (I pierced drainer and 1 solid dish). These versatile dishes were traditionally used to serve breakfast (eg. bacon and eggs, scrambled eggs, kedgeree etc) but nowadays are bought for many diverse reasons and particularly for serving muffins. Height 20 cms. Width 37 cms. Depth 22 cms. Circa 1880.
