It’s very unusual to find a set like this complete with all its contents - beaker, cup, 3 section condiment set, 2 sided spoon and folding spoon, fork and knife with corkscrew. Circa 1890. Maker and retailer stamps for Aspreys. Cutlery stamped for William Hutton and Sons.

2116. Victorian Novelty “Ships Lantern” Cigar Lighter.

4205. Victorian Novelty “Padlock” Vesta Case

An unusual antique sterling silver vesta in the form of a barrel shaped padlock. With a striker to one end with hinged flap which opens to keep the matches inside. There is a Victorian Lozenge mark stamped to the other end. Height 3.25 cms. Birmingham 1880. Maker M.W.

4444. Victorian Novelty Silver Castle Condiment Set

A rare collectors castle cruet. An antique sterling silver 5 piece condiment set in the original velvet lined box. The castles are each beautifully modelled with turrets, flower and leaf encrusted sides and a cartouche engraved with a monogram in old script. Height of mustard pot  5 cms. London 1887. 4415. Giant Novelty Silver Fish – Double Box

This rare antique sterling silver fish is a spectacular decorative lot. Very realistically made with articulated scales, chunky fins and glass eyes the fish flexibly changes its shape and will stand either unsupported or flat on its back. There are 2 concealed boxes. One box is accessed by opening the fish’s head. The other box has a flap which opens below the fish’s mouth. Weight 29 troy ounces. Length 43 cms. London import marks for 1903. Maker Bertold Muller.

3610. Victorian Novelty “Piano Stool” Cigar Cutter/Smoking Compendium.

A very unusual smoking combo in the form of a miniature revolving piano stool. The top cushion opens to reveal 2 compartments for snuff and matches, the base can be used as an ashtray, and where the three legs meet there is a cigar cutter which is operated by revolving the top cushion. Invented by A.E Bell. Circa 1890.

3491. Model Vintage Car Match Striker/After Dinner Set.

A super working model of a veteran car containing a match box/striker and cigar/cigarette box. All 4  wheels turn and the steering wheel changes direction. The front bonnet is topped with a match striker and the hinged lid opens to reveal the match box. The open rear of the car can contain cigars or cigarettes. A good size. Length 22 cms. Width 11.5 cms. Height 11 cms. Circa 1930. Silver plated.

Attractive honey dish in the form of a honey bee. The wings lift to reveal the honey held in the glass body. Electroplated. These are usually made by Mappin and Webb with full marks to the base of the wings and body. Circa 1920.
