6572. Antique German Silver Jardiniere

A large and impressive antique silver serving dish or jardinière with blue glass liner. Excellent quality as one would expect from this prestigious late 19th century maker. The pierced silver is beautifully decorated with ribbons, swags and on each end with a cast rams head. The dish has a solid silver base and can be used with and without the liner. Weight of silver 1610 grams, 51.7 troy ounces. Length 36 cms. Width 26.5 cms. Spread 42 cms. Stamped underneath with German silver marks - crown , moon and 800. Maker Moritz Elimeyer, Dresden. Circa 1890.

A large antique solid silver serving dish or jardinière with carrying handles and a removable silver plated liner. Lovely plain style and excellent quality. Marked inside the base rim with German silver marks, crown and moon, 800 grade silver. Maker Posen. Circa 1900.

This is a particularly attractive piece of table silver. A handsome antique sterling silver centerpiece with a suite of cut crystal bowls. The tall silver stand has applied scroll and acanthus leaf motifs to the column, arms and triangular shaped base. The top has a pierced decorative gallery. All the bowls and silver branches are all detachable. Weight 2405 grams, 77.3 troy ounces. Height 41 cms (49 cms with bowl). Spread across the arms 44 cms. Bowl diameters 27/13 cms. London 1866. Maker Stephen Smith.

A superb antique sterling silver centrepiece by the one of the great royal silversmiths of the early 19th century. The tall central column has 4 candelabra arms and is topped by an open work fruit bowl with trailing vine ornament. The workmanship is extremely fine. Weight 274 troy ounces. Height 71 cms. Spread across arms 45 cms. Diameter of bowl 24 cms. Every piece is hallmarked for London 1827. Maker Benjamin Smith.

A very impressive antique sterling silver epergne with 5 matching cut crystal dishes. This elegant silver table centre comprises of an oval stand, decorated with leaves and swags, to which the 4 side arms are attached. A useful feature is that the oval centre can be used on its own, or with a combination of 1,2 ,3 or all 4 arms.

A large and impressive antique silver plated candelabra with provision for 4 candles. The silver plated base is of excellent quality and the triangular base is decorated with 3 griffins. Each candle holder stands within a Victorian ruby glass shade, 3 of which have the original clear cut crystal drops. Height 44.5 cms. Spread 42 cms. Circa 1870. Made in England.

6458. Georgian Centrepiece Candelabra in Old Sheffield Plate

A spectacular antique table centerpiece with large cut crystal bowl and 4 detachable candelabra branches. The quality and decorative detail of this piece is exceptional – the branches are formed as pierced and intertwined flowers and scrolls, the feet are supported by lions heads and paws, the columns and supports are mounted with acanthus leaves. Total height 61 cms. Diameter of bowl 32 cms. Spread 54 cms. Stamped underneath with a very decorative plaque for the maker James Dixon, Sheffield. Circa 1835.

A very rare antique table centre in Old Sheffield plate. An impressive 4 branch epergne with a central wirework basket supported by 4 caryatid figures.  All raised on a pierced and chased base in a form similar to a dish ring. The 4 detachable and numbered arms have cut crystal bowls. Height 50 cms. Diameter of centre bowl 24.5 cms. Spread across the branches 58 cms. Some copper showing. Circa 1830.
