A fine quality pair of good sized antique sterling silver square based candlesticks with simple clean styling, reeded columns and square bases. There is a monogram in cursive old fashioned script to the foot and each sconce. Height 30.5 cms. Base 12.5 cms square. Sheffield 1791. Maker John Parson and Co.

3155. George III Telescopic Silver Candlesticks.

A simple and elegant pair of antique sterling silver extending candlesticks with gadroon detail. There is a crest to each column of leaves and acorns through a crown. These sought after candle holders have an inner sleeve which enables the central column to be pulled up extending the height from 20.5 cms to 28 cms. Diameter of base 12 cms. Sheffield 1806. Maker J Rowbotham and Co.

An unusual pair of early cast silver candesticks with cherub columns and circular bases with lions heads holding a rose in its mouth. The heavy petal shaped sconces are removable. Height 27 cms/ 25 cms without sconces. Diameter of base 14.5 cms. London 1749/52. Maker James Gould.

A rare pair of antique shell design candlesticks cast in sterling silver. With shaped bases, knopped stems and detachable sconces the decoration is repeated throughout. Height 24 cms (20.25 cms without the sconces). Base 11 cms square. Weight 42 troy ounces the pair. London 1745 by James Gould.

2068. George III Cast Silver Candlesticks.

These are a very fine quality pair of antique cast candle holders, in excellent order and made of sterling silver. They have square bases with sunken centres, knopped columns and matching removable candle sconces, the gadroon decoration is repeated throughout. A smart set of 4 old Sheffield candle holders in good original condition. The height of each candlestick can be extended from 19 cms to 24.5 cms. The sconces are removable and inside the top there is a makers mark “W”. Slight traces of copper showing. Circa 1830.

3264. Antique Irish Silver Chamberstick.

Georgian silver chamber stick, with original sconce and candle snuffer, having an unusual oval shape, double crest and gadroon borders. Weight over 11 troy ounces. Length 14 cms. Height 11 cms. Made in Dublin circa 1814. Maker William Law. Each piece is fully hallmarked but the date letter is rubbed.
