An excellent little early antique silver sparrow beak jug with a tall slim body and pedestal foot. Good plain style and nice weight. Excellent colour. Contains 75 ml. Weight 87 grams, 2.7 troy ounces. Height 8.5 cms (to top of handle). Spread 7.25 cms across the top. Sterling silver. London 1732. Maker William Darker.

Biography - William Darker, also known as William Darkeratt. Marks registered 1726 and 1732. Specialist hollowware maker – tankards, coffee pots, beakers, small jugs, sugar bowls. Died 1734.

Condition - This charming little jug is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Excellent colour. With a full set of clear English silver hallmarks marks underneath.
