9131. Antique Silver Dish - Sold


A large antique silver dish suitable for bread, rolls or fruit. Sterling silver. Oval form with shaped borders and raised on four decorative cast silver feet. The pretty pierced silver has pierced hatched decoration and an embossed design of flowers and scrolls. Weight 349 grams,11.2 troy ounces. Height 6 cm. Length 28.5 cms. Width 22.5 cms. Chester 1904. Maker Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton.

Biography - Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton, founded in Birmingham in 1866. Active at Pallas Works, 115/116 Vyse Street, Birmingham (1898-1901), The firm became a limited liability company in 1915 as Latham & Morton Ltd.

Condition - This attractive silver dish is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Stamped with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks.
