5861. Antique Continental Silver Fish Jug

An unusual silver water jug beautifully modelled in the form of a fish. Similar style to the popular green and multicoloured majolica jugs of the same period. Weight 629 grams, 20.2 troy ounces. Height 26 cms. Base 13 x 9.5 cms. Stamped on the base with continental silver marks, silver grade 800. Circa 1920.

5856. Antique Silver Model Fox

An attractive antique cast sterling silver model of a fox sitting on a tree stump with his paw raised. The craftsmanship of this piece is excellent with realistic fur and a delightful expression on the fox’s face. Weight 301 grams, 9.6 troy ounces. Height 13 cms, base 8 x 8.5 cms. Clear English import hallmarks to the front of the base for London 1900. Makers mark WM.

5743. Antique Dutch Silver Cow Creamer

A pretty little antique solid silver cream jug modelled in the shape of a cow. The cream is filled into the cow under the rising back flap and is poured out of the mouth. Weight 170 grams, 5.4 troy ounces. Height 9.75 cms. Length 13.5 cms. Dutch silver marks underneath and an English silver import mark for London 1890..

5685. Pair of Antique Silver Pig Salt and Pepper Pots

A beautifully modelled pair of antique sterling silver condiments modelled as pigs with curly tails. The pepper pot (female) has a pull off top and the pepper shakes out of the eyes. The salt pot flips open and has a small indentation on the lid to fit a little spoon. Weight 181 grams, 5.8 troy ounces. Height 3.5 cms. Pepper – length 3.5 cms,  salt – length 8 cms. London 1892. Maker Joseph Braham.

An attractive pair of antique sterling silver condiments modelled as dogs with curly tails. Detachable tops. Good quality models in heavy cast silver. Weight 95 grams, 3 troy ounces. Height 5 cms. Marked underneath “sterling” with makers mark “D & H”. Possibly American. Circa 1930.

5665. Antique Silver Inkwell by Sampson Morden

A charming collectors item. A cut crystal ink bottle with silver top formed as the head of an owl with glass eyes. The modelling of this little owl is extremely lifelike and captures his expression perfectly. The chunky crystal base has typical Victorian facet cutting and is heavy enough to use as a paperweight. Height 7.25 cms. London 1896. Maker Sampson Morden.
