An exceptional quality 19th century continental silver model of a monkey sitting on a tree trunk and holding a pomegranate. 2217. Figural Model of a Race Horse in Sterling Silver.

A charming sterling silver model of a horse standing on a heavy stepped alabaster base. The silver base is marked to one side with the maker F. Elkington and Co and to the other with the sculptor G Halliday and dated 1913. Length (nose to tail) 22 cms. Height of horse 18.5 cms, overall 25 cms. Hallmarked London 1913.

A chunky figure of a strolling elephant with a removable head made of continental hallmarked silver. This is a particularly charming piece, very finely modelled  and quite a rare item. Height 12 cms. Length 16 cms. Weight 13 troy ounces. German crown and moon mark. Circa 1900.

1547. Pair of Silver Rhino Wine Ewers.

A pair of very unusual wine ewers fashioned in gilt silver bearing oriental hallmarks (probably Chinese). Each rhino has a hinged stone set lid on its back where the wine can be filled and the wine pours from a hole at the base of the front tusk. Height 15 cms. Length 27 cms. Weight 52 troy ounces the pair. Approximate date – circa 1900.

A very lifelike model of a wild boar. Of impressive size and weight it is about 100 years old and made of continental white metal. The quality of the casting is excellent and the features and fur are very realistic indeed. Length 12.5”. Height 7.5”. Weight 47 troy ounces. All in all, a rare model.

An impressive figural model of a rearing horse with a seated rider wearing armour. The horse’s head is removable. In sterling silver gilt, this large piece is of good weight and the quality of the modelling is outstanding. Hallmarks for London 1967. Weight 110+ troy ounces. Height 38 cms.

3007. Pair of Edwardian Silver Jousting Knights on Horses.

A spectacular pair of large size sterling silver knights in full armour raised on galloping horse mounts. The detailed quality of the decoration is fantastic, each knight having a moveable visor which can be raised to show the ivory face below. Height 34 cms. Contained in a wooden carrying case. Import mark for London 1910. Made by Berthold Muller.

A very fine sterling silver model of this famous Anglo-Irish soldier and parliamentarian mounted on his horse “Copenhagen”. The bronze base is patinated to resemble a green field. Height 18 cms. Length of base 15 cms. London 1850.
