6680. Antique Silver Knight on a Horse A large antique silver model knight astride a galloping horse. This is a particularly nice example in terms of size and also the quality of workmanship. The knight has an ivory face and a helmet with rising visor. The model is very intricate with many separate pieces assembled together such as the sword, jousting pole, sword, stirrups and horse bridal. Weight 1445 grams, 46.4 troy ounces. Height 34.65 cms. The knight’s helmet has a hinged visor and inside you can see his carved ivory face. Excellent weight and figurative detail. Part gilded on the hoofs, saddle and bridal.
